Happy to be here in the OffOn - I am Mark Tomlinson, long-time performance tester and engineer and sometimes a guest on the Pure Performance podcast.

I am currently working with an amazing team of performance and observability engineers at FreedomPay after a lifetime career in various roles at companies like Microsoft, HP Software, PayPal.

Nowadays I spend my spare cycles coaching, training and consulting on modern performance testing and observability strategies - promoting good practices for better performing technology systems.

Hello Mark, it was very inspiring to read your write-up. At 42, l’m just beginning to explore technology. I’ve got no faith in the education system. My motto is: Learn, Explore, Experiment. In my country, education is nothing but a policy by politicians who know nothing about education. And young people are committing suicide unable to cope up with a fucking rotten system.

Please don’t underestimate AI. If this a 6 months old post, then AI isn’t what it was 6 months ago.

It develops faster than a baby. Probably its evolution can be compared to the mutation of the corona vius.
